Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)
The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) includes a 5 minute information video clip
and, at some facilities, a physical exam and consultation of your breasts provided by
a highly skilled and trained OBSP nurse. In all cases, this is then followed by a
screening mammogram to detect any abnormalities of your breasts.
Requirements: Women must be an Ontario resident between the ages of 50 and 74 with no personal history of breast cancer, any breast implants or acute breast problems. Doctor referrals are not required to be a part of the OBSP, however, it is suggested that women contact their doctors if they are experiencing any problems with their breasts.
